Elliott sat in a bar, where he was told to wait "like a good boy". Of course, he had given people at the door a scowl and the finger as he walked in. Those fuckers.

Still, he sat at the table and drink from a glass that was clearly full of beer. One thing he appreciated about being in certain bars like these were most of the staff didn't give a shit how old you were.

They just gave you a drink.

Eli looked up from his drink as someone joined him, the apparently leader of this gang. "What if I am?"

That wouldn't stop him from being an obscure, cocky bastard.

The man said nothing about his comment yet. Instead, a drink was brought to him. Elliott watched as the ground-type Pokemon appeared and then walked away.

He sipped his beer before answering him.

There it was.

"I'm a thief. I'm quiet. I know how to get in and get out. I can rob someone blind, and they won't see it coming." Eli left out his daytime job. Modeling probably wouldn't be useful in this field of work.

Eli wasn't surprised that he was being tested. It seemed like the normal thing to do, when dealing with a gang. Hazing or proving his worth.

He took another sip of his drink before standing up, slipping away from the table with his hands in his pockets.

He approached the table where his target was at, sliding into an empty seat and striking up some conversation. It didn't take long for him to gain the man's trust, just bantering about nothing in particular. His charm could work some time.

When Eli offered to get the man a drink from the bar, he stood up and went to walk behind him. With the man distracted, he was able to make his steal, taking the pokeballs and simultaneously replacing them with something of equal weight to make sure they were not noticeably gone.

Eli came back, slipping into his seat and setting them down on the table in front of Niko. No blunt force needed.

"Here."

Elliott put his hands in his pockets, giving him a dismissive snort.

"Well, sometimes taking your time is better than getting nothing in return, yeah?"

Maybe he should keep his mouth shut and just take what he got.

He turned his head as he watched the Pokeballs be returned as quickly as they were given over. The guy he took them from look shocked, looking between the balls and Eli. He just shrugged.

Turning his attention back to Niko, he smirked.

"Alright. Then is there something you need me to do?" he asked, expecting some sort of mission to accomplish almost immediately. Just like Rocket.

Well, Niko had a point. However, Elliott didn't feel like arguing that there were times he didn't do that. It depended on the situation, and in his mind, talking to that Bob guy, or whatever, seemed like the sure fire way to get what he needed.

And it was just a test, anyway. Not a big deal in the end, unless Bob wanted to throw down outside. In which, Eli was sure he could beat his ass in the ground just as easily as he took his stupid Pokeballs.

His eyebrows rose.

"So what exactly were you going to do if this fell through?" he asked, pushing himself up from the table and following him with dragging feet.

Elliott couldn't help but give an almost snorting laugh at him. Well, that was certainly one way to go about it.

"Difficult for you to be discreet, huh?"

He wanted Niko to elaborate. Was he well known? Too loud? He was just curious, but he wasn't going to ask questions anymore.

Not at that moment, anyway.

"A cop?"

Eli was struck by a moment of shock. Sure, he had robbed authorities before. But he was shocked that this mission entailed something like that. He figured it was just gonna be another poor fucker.

Eli snorted, shrugging.

"Doesn't mean you don't have some potential. But I understand."

He had been doing this bullshit for years now. Of course it was better to get someone who knew what they were doing than someone who had no clue at all. Or someone who could possibly fuck it up because of their size.

"Alright. Well, send me his way. Let's get in and out. I want another beer..."
